Born into a dancing family and a Mum who owned a dance school “Westside School of Dance” Jenne cannot recall a time when she didn’t dance and has been teaching with her Mum now for over 20 years.

Jenne started Pilates Equipment and Mat classes at age 12 to enhance her stability and flexibility as a dancer and fell in love with the Pilates Method. She attained her Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Applied Arts Dance/Drama at UNSW and was further educated in Pilates during her 4 years at University.

A move to London gave her an opportunity to undertake training in Pilates at her local studio. On her return continued her education with Pilates Institute of Australasia with whom she is accredited.

After 10 years of teaching Pilates Equipment and Mat work in studios, gyms and community centres,Jenne opened Pilates Plus in 2009. The studio has been busy since day one with many of our clients utilising Pilates to compliment their osteopathic treatments received at Beecroft Osteopathic Clinic. Jenne has created a nurturing environment in the studio and has ensured that clients feel comfortable to reach their individual goals.

Rebecca AshtonRebecca

Rebecca has been riding horses her whole life. For the last 17 years she has worked in financial markets, first as an institutional financial futures broker and then as a trader for the world’s biggest listed hedge fund, both in Australia and in the UK. Although she enjoyed her frenetic years in the money markets, the time was right for her to focus more on her real love, the horse sport.

Rebecca started as a Pilates client and realised the great benefits it provided for both her corporate and her horse sport and training of others in the sport. Rebecca trained with Pilates Training Solutions and qualified via CYQ in London. On her return to Sydney joined Pilates +plus as an instructor. As Rebecca is a BHS trained and EA accredited coach (level 1 dressage specialist), she splits her time between teaching Pilates and training others in Horse sport.

Lara PogorelskyLara

* B App Science Physiotherapy

Lara is a physiotherapist with a passion for injury rehabilitation and education. Her interest in anatomy and human movement stemmed from her early years enjoying classical and contemporary dance. During her university studies she discovered her love for Pilates and undertook her training with the Australian Pilates Method Australia (APMA) to become in instructor in 2006.

After graduating, Lara wanted to pursue her other love of travel and based herself in the UK where she lived for three and a half years. During this time, Lara worked in various physiotherapy roles as well as casual teaching in Pilates studios in London.

Now Lara dedicates her time to being a full time mum to her two young girls and is excited to be reconnecting with the world of physiotherapy and Pilates.

Nikki TheoharousNikki

Nikki has always had a passion for health and fitness from a young age. Nikki has worked as a PD/H/PE teacher and is currently working in Corporate Sales Training within the Pharmaceutical industry.

Nikki ‘s love for Pilates began after attending a session in order to enhance her personal well being and relieve back and neck pain. Nikki quickly saw results and realised the benefits of the Pilates Method. She discovered her love for the technique and decided to pursue a career as a Pilates instructor training with Polestar Pilates.

Nikki’s bubbly and thoughtful personality enables clients to have a wonderful Pilates experience.

Farah MohamedFarrah

Farah has always had a passion for proactive healthcare. After 13 years in IT she was blessed to move into the direction of health and wellbeing. As a Pilates Instructor and Wellness Advocate With doTerra she is living her passion of nurturing wellbeing through the power of therapeutic grade essential oils, body awareness & movement using Pilates principles.

Her love for Pilates started when she was sent for Pilates to improve her personal well being and relieve back pain. Seeing more and more people suffer from back & neck pain due to the sedentary life style or persistent pain from injury, she decided to become an instructor and was keen to share the benefits she had gained with others. Farah seeks to work with individual needs and to help clients achieve their goals using Pilates principles. She has a young daughter and is additionally interested in the benefits of pre and post natal care.

Jan KennedyJan

Jan was introduced to Pilates as a form of muscle strengthening and postural rehabilitation after repetitive injury from netball, squash and other competitive sports.

Being a remedial massage therapist, Jan sought a deeper understanding of the Pilates method, originally to enhance her massage skills. She completed the Pilates’ studio instructor training course in 2005 and has been enjoying working with clients from varied backgrounds to help improve their overall health and wellbeing.

Jan’s passion for Pilates movement principles in a rehabilitation environment lead her to upgrade her skills in both the studio and mat work environments. Jan now holds a Diploma of Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation, as well as Certificate IV in Pilates mat work.

Jan is both committed and enthusiastic about contributing to the health and wellbeing of her clients and believes that Pilates can benefit everyone.
